Why Hello!
After a brief hiatus, I return with one of... maybe five... poems that I wrote this summer. I was too busy trying to fix things that couldn't be fixed to write (bad mistake). But unemployment and solitude has fixed that! here's a recent one! yeah, I'm still hung up on Orpheus and Eurydice. Thanks a lot, Jennifer Moxley.
Removal
Eurydice’s hair has turned. It lives
in a nest of boar bristles
grey in her underworld.
She counts them daily.
Discards.
Eurydice is constantly being fucked by her demons.
Eurydice has had eleven million minutes to count
the swans
fly by.
overhead.
She is a swan’s fetus.
Eurydice wishes that she was the one who made
his
head
turn.
It would be easier having
someone to blame.
Eurydice is an old woman
dying
in a young woman’s body.
